Dr Sheena Kaur founded luxury concierge service Anomalous London in 2013, she talks to Real Riviera.com about her luxury products.
Why did you set up the luxury concierge service?
I found a gap in the market where a personal, accessible concierge service was not available to the masses. There are many who live in London who are not familiar with the extensive collection of unique venues the capital has to offer. With the landscape changing so frequently, keeping abreast with new openings and offerings is something I have my pulse on and can guide my clients according to their specific requirements. For those celebrating a special occasion, my services are truly valued as they can relax knowing they will be guided competently. My service is open to all.
What have been the most popular places to stay?
Coming out of lockdown, everyone is looking for a luxurious staycation and is willing to spend more than they would have during normal circumstances. For something special, luxurious treehouses which I offer have been favoured the most. Alongside this luxury villas in the countryside are also popular. For those not from London, a staycation in the world’s favourite city is ever so popular. Unique hotels in the capital which offer something over and beyond is what I am drawn to for my clients.
What have been the most popular products sold to date?
Always looking ahead and as restrictions ease, I have adapted to cater for my clients. As we are allowed to have garden parties, I have collaborated with a leading tent supplier to bring to my clients the unique, luxury Bubble Tent in the UK. These have been very popular as the British weather cannot put a dampener on our entertainment post-lockdown.
Afternoon tea, the quintessentially British tradition is a favourite amongst my clientele. By far the best way to celebrate any occasion.
Exclusive rooftop parties are also my forte which has had clients raving about how special they have felt.
Are there any opportunities for businesses to collaborate with your business?
Yes. Plenty! At the moment with have been working with some unique venues from luxury hotel brands such as the Firmdale Hotels, Iconic Luxury Hotels, Taj Group, Alexander Hotels, and The Oetker Collection to glamourous cocktail bars and rooftop venues in London.
What are plans for the future?
The future is looking hopeful. More unique collaborations in the pipeline and a loyalty scheme to reward clients who have supported Anomalous London through what has been the toughest year in hospitality.
